Jamie is a film-maker, performer and educator from Oakland, CA. The creative director and founder of Shoot At Will Films, Jamie has directed dozens of documentaries, music videos, commercials, and state commissioned public service announcements. Jamie is currently producing content for NPR‟s "Snap Judgment" radio and television show, and is in pre-production for his next feature film "Boosters". A featured performer on two seasons of HBO‟s "Def Poetry Jam", Jamie has entertained at San Quentin State Penitentiary and appeared on "60:Minutes". He was awarded a National Performance Network Creation Commission to write "In Spite of Everything". Starring THE SUICIDE KINGS, it has been described as "poignant, chilling... beautifully incorporates visceral verse into the brutal narrative to a school shooting." His hallucinatory lyrical retelling of the Columbine massacre "Ricochet in Reverse" was the winner of a Telly Award. He continues to host and produce "Tourettes Without Regrets" (TWR), a crowd interactive variety show that incorporates freestyle rap, circus, comedy and burlesque. "Tourettes" has earned numerous awards from the East Bay Express and SF Bay Guardian. In addition to being a "Youth Speaks" mentor, Jamie has lead writing workshops and performed at over one hundred Universities, high schools and juvenile detention facilities internationally.
