Jonas Carpignano (1984, Rome, Italy) has spent his life shuttling between U.S. and Italy. His work has been shown at world's most prestigious film festivals including Cannes, Venice, SXSW and New York. His short film, A Chjàna (2012), won the Controcampo Award at the 68th Venice IFF along with the Nastro D'Argento Special Mention from the Association of Italian Film Critics. His latest short film, A Ciambra (2014), won the Discovery Award at the 53rd Critics' Week at Cannes. His first feature film, Mediterranea, had its world premiere at the 2015 Cannes IFF where it received critical acclaim.
