Életrajz

Travis Knight is LAIKA's President and CEO, and has been involved in all principal creative and business decisions since the studio's founding in 2003. Before becoming President and CEO in 2009, he served as the Head of Animation, supervising the studio's stop-motion and CG animation staffs and overseeing studio-wide animation production and development. He also sits on the company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Knight was Lead Animator and Producer on LAIKA's Academy Award and Critics' Choice Movie Award-nominated animated feature ParaNorman, directed by Sam Fell and Chris Butler. ParaNorman won two Annie Awards (the animation community's Oscars equivalent) and was cited as Best Animated Feature by 14 critics' groups, more than any other 2012 animated feature.

He was also Lead Animator and Producer on the company's first feature, Coraline, directed by Henry Selick. Coraline was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award; won three Annie Awards; and was named one of the year's 10 Best Films by the American Film Institute (AFI), among other honors worldwide. Previously, he was Supervising Animator on Mr. Selick's highly praised short film Moongirl.

Mr. Knight began his stop-motion animation career in the late 1990s, working on the Emmy Award-winning stop-motion animated television series The PJs and Gary & Mike, and on numerous national commercial campaigns.
