Here the Masked Ryder, with his faithful Indian companion Tonto, find out about a villain who is killing those who own the gold medallions. Legend has it that when these 5 gold medallions are placed together, they reveal the location of the Lost City of Gold with untold riches. So far, three of the owners of these medallions have been killed and it is up to the Lone Ranger and Tonto to protect the two remaining ranchers. (forgalmazó hivatalos szövege)

angol If you don't love the Lone Ranger since childhood - and there won't be many such fans in our country - you probably won't enjoy this original form. The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold is in some ways better, in some ways worse, and in some ways exactly the same as the previous film. Better in that it has more successful villains, worse in that it's unbearably talkative in places, and the same in terms of the rest, i.e., in that dose of naivety and boyishly adventurous atmosphere that some may find charming and some may not. As far as Lone Ranger films go, I liked the 1981 action and bloody film the best so far, but I expect it to be soon trumped by Verbinski's film, which, besides action, doesn't leave out the humor and finally makes Tonto an equal partner of the Ranger, not just a goofy Indian who often needs to be rescued.
