Moe Howard egykor a híres hollywoodi stúdió, a Columbia egyik népszerű sztárja volt. A bátyjával, Shemppel, valamint Larry Fine-nal közösen alkották a The Three Stooges nevű komikus triót. Moe 1959-ben visszaemlékszik a régi szép időkre, az elmúlt harminc esztendőre. Pályafutásuk a varietéban kezdődött, énekes-táncos darabokban arattak sikert. A Broadway, majd Hollywood következett, az erőszakos, alpári humorukkal arattak sikert. 1934 és 58 között majd kétszáz rövid komédiát forgattak, miközben több játékfilmben is szerepeltek. I’d never encountered the Howard Brothers and at the same time, I have to say that their 1920s humor doesn’t really work for me. What also didn’t really work for me was the way in which the story was told in this film. I think anybody could have shot the individual scenes, but without endowing the story with emotions or a semblance of order, it doesn’t really work.
