The masters of anime join forces to create this stunning animated film featuring three separate stories: Magnetic Rose, Stink Bomb and Cannon Fodder. In Magnetic Rose, two space travellers are drawn into an asteroid world created by one woman's memories. In Stink Bomb, a young lab assistant accidentally transforms himself into a human biological weapon set on a direct course to Tokyo. I admit that I expected a little more from Studio 4°C, especially after reading something about them. I'm not sure if "Memories" is exactly a film that stands out from traditional Japanese animation, but it seemed pretty standard to me, although the storytelling style is definitely not straightforward. Some scenes are really excellent, and you can see how much can happen in one scene. I guess I was just expecting something more exceptional.
