Miután halálosan összekülönbözik a cég elnökével, Jennings-szel (Michael Caine), a szép helybeli aktivista, Masu (Joan Chen) pártjára áll. Taft és Masu tudja, veszélyes vizekre merészkedtek, de Jennings is sejti, hogy a tűz-jég kombináció halálos is lehet. (Film+)

angol Steven Seagal as an ecological messiah, or how to stroke his own ego and show that he will never be a good director. This attempt at a serious theme with action elements was a failure. ()

angol Seagal is a serious loser who, for lack of filmmaking skill, tries to mix a silly action story with environmental agitprop. Should the encouragement of environmental organizations be more vigorous? Not like that, Steven. This is really how someone is going to burn down Alaska!!! ()

angol Basically, this is where the Aikido master buried his career, or rather, it's best to stop. On Deadly Ground is really bad, soft, and fake for effect. Steven Seagal as an eco-warrior is unbelievable and doesn't do it from the heart, and although he's essentially right in what he says at the end, the style in which he presents it is not the best. In his previous movies, it usually was about revenge or sorting things out, the plot was always something personal for the hero. This time it's different, and for the first time, you could say “he's not the same old tough Steven anymore.” Technically, On Deadly Ground is surprisingly very bad considering the budget (obvious decorations and miniatures) – and that crazy dream scene. The scenes with Eskimos are the worst in the whole movie. There are several action scenes that are passable, as usual, but there aren't many of them. The final fireworks are boring. ()

angol Instructions for use: Wash you hair with On Deadly Ground for exactly 98 minutes. Watching kitschy shots of beautiful nature and listening to the music of Basil Poledouris, we try to believe Steven Seagal can act and direct, while we have no secret sympathy for the once again cutely slimy Michael Caine, who gives us, among other things, a sensational etude on “How to make an oil commercial" or “Put on a smile so warm in a hundredth of a second that everyone believes him". After watching this film with a staggeringly stupid script, we can be glad that it had a happy ending and didn't do us any serious harm. Plus, we've learned our lesson and we'll never make fun of Indians again. ()
