Rio De Janeiro 1997. Minden hónapban 11 gyermekrablás történik. A lakosságot terrorizálják. A rendőrség tehetetlen. Ekkor két, a törvény oldalán álló férfi, akik nem is különbözhetnének jobban egymástól, elhatározzák, hogy összefognak a bűnözők ellen. Mendonça megvesztegethetetlen hivatalnok, Santiago pedig sáros zsaru, aki zsarolja a bűnözőket. Megkérdőjelezhető módszereikkel átveszik az emberrablások osztályának irányítását. How do you get justice in a country where police officers generally use the same practices as criminals? The Division is a rather raw film, which perhaps lacks emotion because of that. I was quite annoyed by the gentleman behind the camera, who was often unable to focus it properly. If only someone had tried to fix it with a more dynamic edit. I could do without those gratuitous slow-motion shots as well. I also have reservations about the length of the film. It could have been half an hour shorter because sometimes it loses its pace and seems too long. (45%)
