Rodrigo is an introverted 13-year-old who spends much of his time alone - except when he is with his mother, Valeria, who happens to be his best friend, his protector, and his entire world. Rodrigo believes their relationship is intimate and anchored in trust, until one morning he wakes up to a stranger in the house: Fernando, his mother’s new boyfriend, who had spent the night. Immediately Rodrigo’s domain is completely disrupted, and he is left with no choice but to fight back and reconstruct the solace he once had. (Sundance Film Festival)

angol This is definitely the film that has left me with the most feelings in a long time. An hour and a half of energy, tension and uncertainty. The film is very much a reflection of today's young society and that is one of the reasons why teenagers in particular will love it. I appreciate the elaborate screenplay, even though not much happens in the film (note: the entire film takes place in 4-5 locations). The camera work is breathtaking and the variety of shots knows no bounds. I wouldn't mind seeing the film on a screen again. ()
