In the 1970s, Falcon Studios defined and dominated the gay porn industry. Featuring the hottest men and the most uninhibited sex, it propelled and documented the gay community's social and physical liberation from stereotypes and prejudice. Although the industry was condemned as much as embraced, it formed an integral part of gay men's lives at the time. Equally as divisive was Falcon co-founder Chuck Holmes, who became a kingpin in the erotic film empire. SEED MONEY: THE CHUCK HOLMES STORY charts the rise and fall of this conflicted man and his cinematic kingdom. Holmes became obsessed with leaving a legacy, doing good in return. Acceptance, he found, was difficult for someone whose money was coveted but whose business was shunned. It was the dawn of gay political power and the AIDS epidemic, and the nation's conflicted views on the LGBT world were openly out as well. Filled with deliciously naughty vintage video clips and emotional testaments, this is a dizzying ride on the porn-coaster that liberated (and sometimes saved) many lives in the gay community.
