A mother who makes a living catering to Western men in a Busan club conceals her profession from her three daughters. Her only wish for them is that, avoiding her fate, they each marry a rich man. However, life rarely works out the way one plans it. The woman's eldest daughter falls for an impoverished novelist. Her second daughter, after being betrayed by a boyfriend, follows in her mother's footsteps. And the youngest daughter, a violinist, marries another musician. When the third daughter puts on a concert, all of the family members attend, but shame forces them to conceal themselves from one another. While the film Ode to My Father (2015) deals with a father's suffering, The Body Confession explores a mother's ordeal. (Busan International Film Festival)
