England is well-known for its white cliffs and distinctive gloomy countryside – both of those make me feel melancholic, which is the reason why I’m seeking out movies like that. Hope Gap has a clear-cut premise and apparent stars – Bill Nighy and Annette Bening. While Bill is filled with sadness, Annette doesn’t give him a second to rest. The premise was fine, the setting beautiful but because I’m a man I can’t rate it with more than 3 stars. Annette’s character was really nasty and she realized it too late.
