Linnet Ridgeway Anglia leggazdagabb és legszebb örökösnője. Vajon ki irigyelhette gazdagságáért? Mindenki. És kinek állhatott szándékában megölni egy nílusi hajóút során, sõt további gyilkosságokat elkövetni? A hajón szinte mindenkinek. A rejtély megoldása ismét a „véletlenül” ott tartózkodó híres belga mesterdetektívre, Hercule Poirot-ra hárul, aki ugyancsak nyaralni jött a piramisok és szfinxek hazájába, mégis élete egyik legbonyolultabb ügyét kell régészeti alapossággal feltárnia… A népszerű Poirot-sorozat Agatha Christie, a bûnügyi történetek királynője egyik történetét dolgozza fel. angol Although the film version with Ustinov has a great set behind it and bigger acting stars, there is no doubt that the portrayal of the main character makes the English remake convincing and faithful. I can't help but think that Ustinov is too rude and chaotic for Poirot. David Suchet's charisma is overshadowed by some of the weaker performances in the supporting roles, the obviously lower budget and the fact that I knew how to decipher the plot. Although I found some TV films with Poirot to be more successful, I still appreciate the courage of the filmmakers to challenge the film classics. Especially since, from my point of view, the 2004 version of Death on the Nile is better. ()

angol The TV transcript of Death on the Nile with Suchet may be one of the more popular versions, but it's still a cheap TV spectacle that pales in comparison to the film versions. Yes, Suchet is excellent, but his teammates fall short and the beauty of Egypt doesn't shine through as much. The only one who later made it big was the local Linnet Ridgeway - Emily Blunt. This role was originally given to the then dark-haired beauty Lois Chiles from The Great Gatsby in the 1970s, who later became a Bond Girl. Thirty years later, they tried to make a change and Linnet became a beginner blonde, who made a name for herself only after she reverted to dressing dark. Today, the proud Linnet is again the dark-haired action protagonist Gal Gadot from Israel. The famous Suchet series, therefore, did not play a decisive role in this trend. ()

angol A classic Poirot-like story that might not be as perfect in this rendition, but still entertaining. Here, it is very noticeable that Poirot has shifted towards a slightly more modern approach, such as in terms of brutality, which is considerably higher in this film. I am a bit disappointed that the humor disappeared, but the serious storyline fits well. ()
