After many harvests… A sequel of a summer comedy set in the sunny Moravian vineyards. Honza (Kryštof Hádek) and Klára (Tereza Ramba) have become the owners of a vineyard and parents of twins, but it’s not exactly peachy between them. The harvest is coming and Klára tries to prove to everyone that a woman can make excellent wine. After many years, Honza meets Jirka (Lukáš Langmajer), who wants to help. But he forgets to mention he’s running away from something… (Finále Plzeň)

angol I just have a soft spot for this grape. Because Terezka, who I'd watch in just about anything, because Hádek, who doesn't talk much but I like him anyway, because vines... There's no point in speculating whether the second or third film was better, neither installment disappointed me. Even though there’s room at the top only for the first one. 3.5 stars. ()

angol The inconsistent form of the individual films in the Grapes trilogy is brought to near perfection by the third film made by the man responsible for one of the most notable duds of 2017, Martin Knopp. Just the fact that someone who worked on Bikers is filming something again is your first clue. However, the people got what they wanted. Another uninteresting summer affair that is so pretty and so Czech. I could go on and on about how the films build on each other in a nonsensical way, and how the quality of the performances changes depending on how much the actors are left to their own devices, because there can be no question of acting direction, etc. However, that would just make me go crazy. angol Maybe a little better than 2Grapes... but it is becoming increasingly apparent that the subject matter has somewhat exhausted itself. Hopefully, the creators will understand this and not keep making these. At least the musical accompaniment, provided by Jan P. Muchow, deserves praise. (45%) ()
