Az óriáskamionok sofőrjeinek nem habostorta az élete. A gázolaj ára egyre magasabb, a verseny egyre nagyobb, ráadásul rendőrök hada áll lesben lassan szinte minden farakás mögött, hogy a legkisebb vétség esetén fülöncsípje őket. Gumikacsa, a 18 kerekű kamioncsoda vezetője azonban nem ijed meg tőlük. A rendőrök minden cselére van egy még ügyesebb fortélya, és végül konvojba szervezi valamennyi sértett kamionost, hogy végre ők is megmutathassák, mit tudnak... (Mokép)

A road movie with an excellent cast that, despite its naive and easygoing story, takes itself too seriously and doesn’t deliver any pleasant surprises in the second half (with the exception perhaps of the ending). Peckinpah, naturally, leaves his typical filthy blokeish touch, but his talent is quite wasted in an adventure B-movie like this. The namesake theme song is understandably great. 65%
