Cine Marrocos

The story of the homeless, African refugees and Latin American immigrants who occupied an abandoned cinema and the artistic process that turned them into movie stars. The film crew reopened the theater, screened the classic movies and invited the residents for an acting workshop where, then as actors, they reenacted the most striking moments of these films. Before facing the reality of losing their homes, they occupied the cinema not only as a physical space but as a place of dreams. They went from life to fiction, from three to two dimensions – inhabiting the noblest place of a theater: the screen. (Guadalajara International Film Festival)
