"The Wonder Years" was a hit comedy series starring Fred Savage as Kevin Arnold the main character, a boy facing rites of passage on his way to adulthood. Kevin lives with his brother Wayne (Jason Hervey), his sister Karen (Olivia d'Abo), his father Jack (Dan Lauria), and his mother Norma (Alley Mills). Very pleasant series, where the viewer can feel nostalgia for a lost childhood and ideals which have not yet been tarnished by the layer of down-to-earth reality and bad experiences, from every shot. Excellent casting including child actors, quality dialogues, a script without unnecessary fluff, believable stories that can captivate even without writer's tricks. The inclusion of kind humor and a healthy self-irony in places where moralizing or TV clichés are threatening is also very good. This high-quality piece deserves to be aired on public television. Overall impression: 90%.
