What I really liked was the addition of exteriors. The show in this season became a classic viewer's buddy, where the creators found themselves and the viewers gained another comfortable safe space. What was the third and final season of MX like? Very different. We lost Lauren Lee Smith (who wasn't lost as an actress), and she was replaced by Karen Cliche, a veteran from Vampire High and Adventure Inc., and at first it looked like we also lost John Shea. It was necessary to get used to the new dynamics in the team, but fortunately, the change was very well written. Vicky Pratt played the first two seasons as the more experienced one, and now the forces were equal, and both main mutants were able to do similar extra feats. The episode No Exit was excellent and after Art of Attraction it was brilliant until the end. In Cirque des Merveilles, Vicky Pratt even had a dual role and at that time she also received a nomination for her Shalimar Fox at the prestigious Saturn Awards. I like to remember that time, even though there was no fourth season, because the production company collapsed. It was a different era than classic fantasy from the 90s, but it was equally inspiring.
