Jacques Tourneur, le médium (Filmer l'invisible)

There exists the "mystery of Jacques Tourneur". How else to explain this director's belief in the invisible world and the supernatural while he remained so firmly anchored in reality? When, in an interview, Tourneur affirmed, "Many people live in fear, but are unaware of it", might it not have been thought that he too, despite the apparent calmness of his behaviour, lived in this permanent fear and his movies were a way to exorcize it? As well as being a portrait of Jacques Tourneur through his movies, this documentary is an investigation into the inspiration of the cineaste through the testimony of people who became passionate about his work.
