In the heart of Paris, minors are tried at the youth court on Île de la Cité. During a one-year period, the filmmakers, after lengthy preparations and obtaining special authorization, sat in on hearings in the offices of three judges assigned to these cases. The accused young people, including unaccompanied minors from other countries, express their fears as they face an uncertain outcome. (Montreal World Film Festival)
