Itsy Bitsy

Tartalmak(1)

A single mother moves from New York to the quiet countryside with her two kids for a job opportunity she can’t afford to turn down. She begins her work as a private nurse to an old man who’s an appraiser of rare antiquities with a secretive past. Things seem normal enough until a shady antique collector brings with him a mysterious relic of ancient origin. All too quickly they discover the relic contains more than just legends…inside waits a terrifying creature born of ancient darkness and pure instinct. Building a relentless sense of menace and creepiness, Itsy Bitsy is a straight-out scarefest that will leave you a squirming mass with its grisly pleasures. (Popcorn Frights Film Festival)

angol Another wasted opportunity and another sterile contribution to the genre that should have been a horror slam-dunk. Itsy Bitsy is not terrible and at times it’s effective at combining the aura of The Conjuring and the threat of the eight-legged creature, but mostly it’s awfully boring and unoriginal. The four characters include two children, but you know nothing can happen to them, and the script is more interested in the drugged and unhappy mother than in the spider’s nest. A waste of time. ()

angol The American movie Itsy Bitsy does not have any kind of surprising plot. In fact, I thought that perhaps it would have been better if it were an episode of a series like Supernatural, where the plot would have been more condensed, less drawn out and it would have been punchier, with a better atmosphere. However, because the spiders are so well done, this is something that still works well. This is a watchable horror movie unless you suffer from a morbid fear of spiders. ()
