Patrick Melrose (2018)

angol I was pleasantly surprised by this series. I was baffled a little by the first episode because I laughed unexpectedly often, which I wouldn’t expect of a drama, but the following episodes did the genre justice. The show is an excellent drama with a suffocating atmosphere, snobbish manners and great acting performances (Benedict Cumberbatch, Hugo Weaving, J.J. Leigh, Holliday Grainger) that I really enjoyed. I wish there were more shows like this one. ()

A rossz hír (2018) (E01)

angol I really enjoyed this one-man show. Sure, there were other actors, but Benedict Cumberbatch completely stole the episode. For a drama, I found myself laughing surprisingly often. Patrick was incredibly entertaining, and his battle with the urn was flawless. ()

Spongyát rá! (2018) (E02)

angol What a surprise! Unlike the previous episode, the second one didn't have any humor, but the atmosphere got much thicker. The flashbacks gave us a deeper look into the character of the charming David Melrose and the wonderful family dynamics. Hugo Weaving did a fantastic job filling in for the absent Benedict Cumberbatch, and I had a blast. ()

Reménysugár (2018) (E03)

angol **Patrick Melrose - Some Hope (2018)**   Three five-star episodes in a row. What's fascinating is how each episode is completely different, yet I've enjoyed every single one. This time, most of the action took place at an upper-class party, and it was such a display of snobbery that I was absolutely delighted. So far, I'm thrilled with this series. ()

Anyatej (2018) (E04)

angol Maybe it was the laid-back vibe of a French summer, but this episode felt a bit slower and less eventful. Still, there were plenty of great moments that kept me entertained. I just can't help but enjoy this series. ()

Végre valahára (2018) (E05)

angol The creators wrapped it up nicely. The funeral was well done, but the standout of the final episode was Nicholas Pratt. He was such an amazing, snobbish jerk that I wanted to stick a few pins in him. As usual, I had a great time watching, though I expected a more depressing ending. ()
