Relu Oncescu látszólag egyszerű bukaresti taxis, boldog családdal, feleséggel és két gyermekkel. Pedig valójában kettős életet él, "másodállásban” ő a Kapitány névre hallgató helyi gengszter behajtója. Mindezt olyan ügyesen csinálja, hogy a családja mellett a maffia sem tud erről. Ralu mindent kézben tart, egészen addig, amíg véletlenül megöl egy embert. Ezután megpróbálja maga mögött hagyni alvilági életét, de nem találja a kiutat. A hazugságok egyre inkább fojtogatják, és a sötét titkai sorra napvilágra kerülnek. (HBO Europe)

Episode 3 (2019) (S03E03)

angol The previous episode was somewhat lacking in plot until the final quarter, while the third episode worked nicely in terms of pacing from the beginning. My moral compass is somehow unsettled by all of this; one thing is clear, everyone here is scum (or at least the majority), but something tells me that the members of the local organized crime cell are morally higher than the corrupted police force. Well, that is actually irrelevant because, as I have already mentioned, almost everyone here is scum. If it were up to me, I would kill Chuckie first, as he annoys me beyond belief. / Lesson learned: These days, even ears have ears. ()

Episode 4 (2019) (S03E04)

angol After the last action-packed episode, this one took a calmer pace, but that doesn't mean it was uninteresting. True, there wasn't much rooftop running this time, and ammunition was also saved, but I didn't mind at all because there were very interesting (but, of course, also less interesting) conversations. I am absolutely sure that the world of organized crime wouldn't be for me. Constantly going on errands, handling deals, and if you made a mistake, more than just your bonus would be at stake. Such a lifestyle would only make me nervous. Now I also found out that investigators can monitor my heart rate, and I'm really not into that. The episode seems to have left an impression on me, the atmosphere was excellent, so it's a four-star rating from me. / Lesson learned: A grave should be at least six feet deep. ()

Episode 5 (2019) (S03E05)

angol Well, it seems the Romanians eventually lost this tug of war with HBO because this episode felt quite pointless, and I only added the third star out of courtesy. I can't think of anything important that episode five brought. I remember a lot of empty talk, and that's about it. But there's a bright side; initially, I was rooting for Relu, which was unsettling, but that's past me now. I can now confidently say that I don't care at all about how things turn out for anyone because I couldn't care less about any of the characters. / Lesson learned: Beware of triple agents. 3* - ()

Episode 6 (2019) (S03E06)

angol I sure had fun watching this episode. There's a massive drug delivery on the horizon; the head of the investigation is an unpredictable lunatic, so it's clearly heading towards something ugly. The question is, who's going to die first? Paradoxical, right? I won't claim that the sixth episode didn't entertain me; that'd be a shameful lie. However, I'll insist it wasn't the type of fun I was genuinely looking forward to. The series has taken a long journey in a direction I wouldn't have chosen for it since the first season. During that journey, the creators have veered far from the original quality. So, this time around, I did enjoy myself, but simultaneously, I wasn't thrilled. Like I said, it's paradoxical. / Lesson learned: The line between truth and lies can be so thin that you cannot even see it. ()

Episode 7 (2019) (S03E07)

angol I thoroughly enjoyed Relu's stay in Spain; it brought back memories of my early childhood when I relied solely on picture books and pop-ups until age five. Given my lack of Spanish proficiency (except for a few phrases from Resident Evil 4), I had to piece together the narrative solely from the visuals. This posed a challenge as everyone, excluding Relu, spoke incredibly fast, leaving me feeling like I missed out on a lot. Even without the language barrier, the change of setting only solidified my opinion that HBO's interventions aren't doing the series any favors. So, in a way, I'm relieved it's over. Such an idea wouldn't have crossed my mind after the first season. The frenetic rush to tie up all the storylines in an attempt to provide some closure only led to further disappointment. / Lesson learned: From time to time, it's nice to take the dead on a trip. To a forest, perhaps. ()
