Ethnographic Study of Algorithms

Etnographic Study of Algorithms (3D, found footage) draws from the forms and methods of classic etnographic film. In the film, the author poses as an investigator working on his field notes, who is doing an interview with Mitsuku, a chatbot and member of the algorithmic database. Found footage shows the views of white men and women, representatives of colonial tradition, who watch black natives unnoticed. This flow is interrupted by a 3D scene in which the author meets El Negro de Banyoles, a showpiece of a stuffed native exhibited in the Museo Darder til 1991. (FamuFest)
