Antiphon is the author's response to his own film Arnulf Rainer, created over 50 years earlier. The author returns to his own work and creates a "remake" in the true sense of the word. Light is changed into darkness, noise becomes silence, and vice versa. Rhythm is turned around. Antiphon is a counter-pole, an interchange. "I wanted to nish my work with an homage to film-making, keeping a distance from digital culture. I wanted to abandon images that depict – also color, because I understand it to be a form of depiction," adds Peter Kubelka himself. (Marienbad Film Festival)
