The ancestor of all of our domestic apple is Malus Sieversii, it was born 165 Millions years ago and it is part of the wild forests of the Kazakhstan's celestial mountains. Now scientists are interested in this apple because it contains specific genes that resist to diseases and that could be an alternative to pesticides. Our documentary is a historic investigation through Kazakhstan, Oxford, USA and France where woodmen, scientists, geneticists and the bear of Tian Shan are involved.
