Pawel, a fiatal varsói irodalomtanár Dobrowicébe, egy kisvárosi gimnáziumba megy tanítani. Még jövendő főnöke sem érti, miért hagyta ott a fővárosi magángimnáziumot, de Pawel nem hajlandó erről semmit mondani. Különösen nehéz. évkezdés előtt áll az egész iskola. Egyik tanítványukat, a kitűnő tanuló, rendezett családból való csinos lányt, Joanna Walewskát holtan találta három fiú a közeli erdőben. Egyikük a lány barátja, Maciej Dabrowa. A rendőrség, a lány mellett lévő üres gyógyszeres fiolából kiindulva, öngyilkosságot állapít meg. A boncolás eredménye azonban cáfolja ezt, egyértelműen gyilkosság történt. Az iskolában Maciej láthatóan minden ok nélkül neki esik egyik társának. Ráadásul a. kisvárosban is csak a felszínen nyugodt az élet. Hamarosan. az is kiderül, Pawel nem először jár itt. Itt él. nagynénje, nála szállt meg. A városi újság szerkesztője azonnal felismeri, és eszébe jut az a régi ügy is... (MTVA)

With regard to Maciej Stuhr, the apple did not fall far from the tree, and his father can be, I think, satisfied with his son. His professor is charismatic and manly enough to win the favor of television viewers, and the criminal case is complicated enough to sustain a 10-episode series. If I have any objections, it would be towards the script, which makes the main protagonist too dominant. It seems as if the Polish teacher has undergone a training course for special service members and espionage practice. However, the series is filled with characters with great potential, and the storytelling logic does not bend in a way that would make me disagreeingly shake my head. Overall impression: 80%.

Season 2 (2017) (S02)
I gave the project as a whole 4 stars, a compromise between the first season, which impressed me, and the second, which clearly lagged behind the first. I consider the criticism aimed at over-complexity and the unrealistic script to be justified. The writers' imagination got too carried away this time and a bit more sobriety wouldn't have hurt. On the other hand, I didn't mind the structure as much as I expected in the end. Not to mention that there are many projects in the field of so-called Nordic detective stories that are similarly or even more over complicated and they get away with it suspiciously easily. The pleasant cast led by Maciej Stuhr still functions, and they manage to maintain the viewer's attention and introduce current topics. I may be adding a bit to the score, but so be it. Overall impression: 70%.
