Amikor a víz visszahúzódik, szalonkák serege kutat élelem után tengerpart homokjában, míg a hullám érkeztével kimenekülnek a biztonságos részre. A parti növényzetben fiatal szalonka próbálja első lépéseit. Nincs hozzá sok kedve, jobb szeretné, ha az anyja etetné. Végül sikerül előcsalogtani kicsinyét, ám egy hullám kiteríti a kismadarat. Nehezen lehet újra lecsalogatni a partra, ám egy kis rákkal való találkozás végül felkelti az érdeklődését. A kismadár felfedezi a különös világot. (HBO Europe)

A nice short before Finding Dory offering both very good animation and a beautiful story about the need to leave the family nest, gradually become independent and eventually be inspired by the surroundings in the pursuit of everyday livelihood.

Piper is a brilliantly made, cute, funny, and fresh short film that perfectly set the mood for the underwater adventure about Dory. However, this also stands on its own. The animation is simply gorgeous, the narrative is great, even though the theme of "overcoming fear" is a bit of a cliché. However, because of the shorter running time, it certainly does not have the chance to get boring. The moment when the little bird watches the wave sweep away the others and then it naturally does not want to go to the beach made me laugh my socks off. So I thought it was very good. 9/10.

Technically absolutely perfect. That sand! Those bubbles! Those animals. This is an unbelievable example of what is already possible to create. But what's more, Pixar has come up with something that not only looks nice, but something you want to watch because it is cute, fun, and has great characters. It is really worth going to the cinema for "Finding Dory" when you get this as an appetizer.
