Main themes of an animated film "Rivers" based on Czeslaw Milosz's poem are: time and passing of time. The title rivers are compared to carnality of the main character. I look for traces of them on his body starting from umbilical cord, continuing with fingertip lines and ending on wrinkles covering his face. The inseparable attribute of the main character is his suitcase which becomes his cradle, raft and house. The world around the character is also carnal: river is palms, earth is a woman, rain is tears. This is the world the character travels through. (Turku Animated Film Festival)
