angol The skilled Phil Stevens delivers his second piece after the depressive Flowers. It possibly fits into the same universe and is again an unpleasant, hallucinogenic, and dreamlike nightmare, intended only for the most extreme audience with refined taste and twisted desires. The film is dark and silent, so it has a certain artistic dimension, and the plot is presented through symbols, details, and images, so a strong dose of attention, imagination, and reflection is necessary, and I must admit that I enjoyed it. It's like playing a game where you have to put together the whole puzzle yourself. Although you may not receive answers to most questions, the basic storyline is understandable. The main character goes from point A to point A and experiences dark, dreamlike nightmares, possibly the consequences of his dark past. It is one of those films that can be debated because everyone understands it differently and notices something else. The bracelet on his wrist indicates that he is probably a patient who escaped from a mental institution, undoubtedly a lunatic with homicidal tendencies. In addition to the decent camera work and dark imagery, there are creepy scenes that also stand out (rotted skeletons, corpses, and that “Frankenstein creation” with a face sewn together with a penis, buttocks, a vagina, and who knows what else – it's truly an extreme creation that knows no bounds). It is strange and definitely not for everyone, but I found something for myself in it. 7/10. ()
