A Despedida

Ninety-two-year old Admiral feels that his body is breaking down. Ordinary daily tasks become a problem and take him a long time. Therefore, he decides one day to go to the city for the last time. He pays his debt in his favourite café on the way, tries marijuana, and meets his grandson one last time. Yet the main goal of Admiral's journey is his lifelong love, his fifty-years-younger lover. Farewell, which is based on a true story, does not paint old age only as a period of illnesses and pain, it shows an old gentleman full of life, a man whose love overcomes a vast age difference and whose lust still isn't asleep.
