The Bastard Executioner (2015)

angol I admit that my hopes for this series were too high, so I was severely underwhelmed. About halfway into the series I let go of my expectations and started to enjoy some unexpected hilarity. I know this was supposed to be a drama, but I managed to find quite a few comedic elements, although it certainly wasn't anyone's intention. Anyway, I'm glad I got to see Peggy Bundy again after all those years, found out who the most brutal Welsh murderer is, and got to watch a killer turn out to be a Templar and a priest turn out to be a murderer. The funniest characters were Isabel and Milus, those two were really something. ()

Pilot: Part 1 (2015) (E01)

angol I don't know what exactly I expected from the series, I probably hoped for something similar to The Last Kingdom, and the pilot definitely didn't please me. The plot is strangely scattered and strongly reminded me of Gibson's Braveheart. ()

Pilot: Part 2 (2015) (E02)

angol After the second episode, it is clear that I will not become a fan of this series because the plot is just as bad as the official content from TV Prima. No, take that back, the plot is actually better. However, the dialogues are very entertaining. At one point, we find out that two legions were lost in the battle against the rebels, shortly followed by information that the baron's squad was attacked by fifty villagers. Stunning! ()

A Hunger/Newyn (2015) (E04)

angol In the fourth episode, I had to add one star because thanks to Lady Love and her maid, I was entertained more than in the previous two episodes. Otherwise, the quality remains at the same level, but it doesn't bother me, I will persevere... ()

Piss Profit/Proffidwyr Troeth (2015) (E05)

angol Still extremely predictable, but this time there was at least a hint of a coherent storyline. I can't decide if the person writing content for Prima's individual episodes is simply incompetent or mentally deficient. ()

Thorns/Drain (2015) (E06)

angol The historical series crossed paths with "Pošta pro Tebe" in this episode, uncovering unexpected family ties. Several dramatic situations occurred, which once again made me laugh, and I realized that when I stopped expecting anything from the series, I started getting used to it. ()

Broken Things/Pethau Toredig (2015) (E08)

angol The eighth episode was again quite mediocre, supposedly the mysterious tattoos are words of some famous carpenter, so that in the end it wouldn't be that thirty-three-year-old hippie, whom I caught last time sneaking around my Christmas tree. He was flying... ()

Blood and Quiescence/Crau a Chwsg (2015) (E10)

angol Undoubtedly the most entertaining episode of the first season, fight follows fight, revelation follows revelation, and day follows night. There is also playing on a piano instrument. I must admit that the ending of the episode really surprised me. Who would have expected that Lady Love would meet such a cruel fate and be impaled on a stake? ()
