Grasslands are intrinsic to survival, home to many. Every year the grasslands witness torrential rains and a seasonal drought. The animals that live here have adapted to dry, windy conditions. Given the lack of hiding places for predators, the African Savannah supports a much greater diversity of wildlife than do temperate grasslands.
