David Gold 36 éves, és betegesen éretlen, az egykori gyermekszínész soha nem volt képes túljutni a középiskolai éveken. Épp aznap, amikor bőrrákot diagnosztizálnák nála, a társulatból is kirúgják, aminek még tagja volt. Elszántan, hogy pénzt keressen, meghamisítja az önéletrajzát, és állást kap középiskolai nevelőként. A diákok imádják, mivel sokat lóg együtt velük: cigizik és iszik velük. Where do I even begin? After all, this is about a person who stumbles onto the very bottom of life and pulls people around him down as well. On the other hand, I can’t help but think that it can happen to any one of us. A maybe that’s exactly why there’s a bottle of booze on the movie poster itself. The story is something that any reasonable person should be interested in because it has those euphoric moments that simply can’t get disappointing. But all fun stops in the second half and it really made me start pondering life. I didn’t feel very well after watching the movie because it’s a reflection of what every one of us could become. And maybe that’s exactly what I was terrified of.
