Inferno

Israel's history and current political situation play an important part in the oeuvre of Yael Bartana. Her apocalyptic fantasy re-enacts the doom of the Temple of Solomon, which according to tradition was destroyed in 587 B.C., only the set to the film is a megalomaniac replica of the first Israeli temple, which is currently being finished by the leader of the Christian Evangelist Movement in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, where the film was shot.
