Long Way to Go is a documentary film about six children starting their school life. In 1992, Tuukka, Tuuli, Aleksi, Hanna, Mesale and Joel spend their final kindergarten days in the city of Karkkila. In autumn, their mud pants are left behind in the kindergarten coat rack as their school life begins. For a whole year, the film follows the children in the classroom and documents their gradual transformation to small pupils. At first grade the school rules become familiar and the children learn reading, writing, math, hand raising and waiting for one's turn... Long Way To Go is the third documentary film about Finnish children by the director Liisa Helminen. (forgalmazó hivatalos szövege)
