(Viasat 6)

Brooklyn 99 - Nemszázas körzet (2013)

angol I'm writing my review after five seasons. Three of them were, despite some shortcomings, funny enough for me to enjoy them. From the fourth season on, the quality began to drop and some episodes of the fifth season were even downright boring. However, the writers also managed to provide a massive surprise - they created a gay character who isn’t constantly crying bitterly over his fate but was so great that he instantly became one of my favorites (alongside Rosa Diaz, Hitchcock and Scully). I liked other characters, too, but they started getting on my nerves over time (Charles, Terry). ()

Season 1 (2013) (S01)

angol My impressions after watching the first season are mostly positive. The only thing that bothered me was that some of the episodes were rather weak. After a really long time, I found a gay character who I didn’t have an issue with - Captain Holt and his unreadable expression belongs to one of this season’s assets. It was great relaxing fun and I'll gladly watch the next season. ()

Bevezető (2013) (S01E01)

angol In the introductory episode of the first season, I didn't break my jaw, but I laughed more often than I expected. I thought it would be much weaker humor, which often borders on awkwardness. There were a few rough moments, but most of the time I was satisfied, and when the sergeant introduced Holt to the individual detectives, I was thrilled. / "Go on the internet and enter the following sentence in the search engine: 'I want to buy two movie tickets for a girl who doesn't like me.' " "Great!" ()

Fogós kérdés (2013) (S01E02)

angol "The second episode was noticeably weaker compared to the previous one, although it still had its moments. The humor here felt definitely more cumbersome, and the character of Jake Peralty annoys me in exactly the same way as J. D. Dorian in the TV series Scrubs. / "And here are two photos. On one, there is your locker, and on the other, a garbage dump in the Philippines. Can you tell me which one is which?" ()

A pech (2013) (S01E03)

angol After the pilot episode, I praised the creators for successful humor that didn't slide into awkwardness. The second episode dampened my enthusiasm a bit, and now I feel that the series is going exactly where I initially expected it to. The entertainment is somewhat fading because the humor is noticeably weakening. 3 out of 5 stars. "Don't take it personally, but I hate you. Just kidding." ()

Bizarr szex (2013) (S01E04)

angol Thanks to the new pathologist and her fascinating quirks, I was able to improve my rating again. After four episodes, I also have a clear opinion about my favorite characters. It's definitely Charles Boyle and Rosa Diaz who stand out for me, I usually laugh the most with those two. / "Aha, sorry, I forgot who I was talking to. Sleeping with someone is sex, adults do it when they like each other." "She's right, didn't you know that?" ()

A keselyű (2013) (S01E05)

angol The main storyline was not bad at all, but to be honest, I had much more fun with Sergeant Jeffords while helping him overcome his mental block. It seems that I can forget about the weaker episodes 2 and 3, the creators apparently decided to go for higher quality after all. / "Fine, but in protest, I will leave very slowly." ()

Halloween (2013) (S01E06)

angol This time, the lower rating is rather below my disappointed expectations because I have already got used to the fact that Halloween episodes are among the best in other series, but it didn't apply here. The teamwork was great, but otherwise, I think the creators missed the chance for a proper thrill in the sixth episode. / "Are we enjoying ourselves, Amy?" "I want to die." ()

48 óra (2013) (S01E07)

angol The creators hit the bullseye with the seventh episode for me (if I acknowledged political correctness, I would have to write African American instead). I really enjoyed the brutal weekend overtime, and Sergeant Jeffords clearly dominated it with his sleep deprivation. / "You slept in the office, and yet you still look the same, how is that?" "Well, I have messy hair." ()

Keményvonalasok (2013) (S01E08)

angol The previous episode was really well done by the creators, and they definitely didn't fall behind with the eighth episode. Stacy Keach clearly enjoyed his role as Jimmy Brogan, and I had a great time both following his storyline and watching the preparation of Rosa Diaz for her testimony in court, it was well-written. / "Can you tell her to stop doing that thing with her face?" "Crying?" ()

Pizzakóstoló (2013) (S01E09)

angol I really enjoyed both of the previous episodes, but this time I felt that the plot was noticeably weaker. Maybe the problem is with me, but the episode focused on rivalry between the police and firefighters didn't really entertain me, and even the weak storyline between Amy and Rosa didn't improve it. The only one who somewhat saved the overall impression was the taster Charles. 3* - "Stop hitting them, kicking will hurt more!" ()

Hálaadás (2013) (S01E10)

angol That's what I call a leap in quality. While the previous episode almost bored me, the tenth episode was almost perfect with Amy's celebration, I couldn't stop laughing at Sergeant Jeffords' hunger, and Charles Boyle didn't disappoint either. A successful episode that was just a little short of a five-star rating. 4*+ / "Ten dollars for the game." "We're just looking." "Forty for looking." "Let's play." "Fifteen dollars for the game." ()

Karácsony (2013) (S01E11)

angol The creators clearly decided to test my endurance. I praised the previous episode, and now I couldn't believe my own eyes. The only thing that seemed entertaining to me was the sergeant's visit to the psychologist, the rest of the eleventh episode was unexpectedly boring. / "Let's try word associations. What comes to mind when I say the word 'bottle'?" "Drink shop, robbery, weapon, death." ()

A Pontiac tolvaj (2014) (S01E12)

angol The twelfth episode was slightly better than the previous one, but it definitely didn't fill me with enthusiasm. Taking care of the recovering Charles amused me, but it certainly couldn't carry the whole episode. The storyline with the identity thief/Pontiaks didn't entertain me at all, so the result matches my impression. 2*+ / "You know, the doctor said that if it had gone two millimeters to the left and half a meter higher, I would never walk again, sir." ()

A fogadás (2014) (S01E13)

angol I really don't understand this, if the creators are capable of shooting such great episodes, why did I have to be bored by the previous two episodes? This time they did everything right, they entertained me perfectly and for the first time they managed to make the character Amy Santiago quite likeable. / "Haven't you seen Rosa?" "Rosa died eight years ago." / "Maybe I should stop talking to your wife." "Good idea, captain." / "It sucks that you're locking me up, but at least you're back together." ()

Az ében sólyom (2014) (S01E14)

angol And here it is again. After a great episode, another weaker episode came, but this time I left it with four stars because I hope for further improvement. Plus, Sergeant Jeffords really amused me, he was like a fish in water at the gym. 4*- / "I won't talk." "You're talking right now!! Boom!! I've been in your head for a long time!!" ()

A hiéna (2014) (S01E15)

angol I'm glad that I didn't make a mistake in the previous comment and that there has really been an improvement. The fifteenth episode wasn't perfect, but it entertained me, and that counts. It would be really great if the quality of the next episodes didn't drop below this level so that I wouldn't get bored and wouldn't have to resort to a lower rating. / "We arrested murderers, disbanded cartels, today we will face the worst thing that exists in New York, firefighters!" ()

A parti (2014) (S01E16)

angol Hmmm, this probably won't be a coincidence anymore, whenever there is less police work and colleagues gather for some celebration, I have a great time. It was no different this time, and a lion's share of that goes to Sergeant Jeffords, who excellently trained my stomach with his pre-party and party instructions. / "Well..., can I pour you the wine you brought? And maybe... all of it?" ()

Boyle-üzemmód (2014) (S01E17)

angol The seventeenth episode, although not as good as the previous one, was still not bad. I had a great time, Charles Boyle, who was overconfident for a while, was perfect, but Captain Holt with his ambitions ruined it a bit this time. / "Okay, I've got a plan. I'll text Vivian from your phone saying that you want it to be a double date, and I'll hold your hand the whole time." "Then we'll have our hands on her butt." ()

A lakás (2014) (S01E18)

angol "I didn't want to be outright mean, so I didn't give it a rating of three stars, but as they say in a Jewish anecdote: 'The possibility was there.' I didn't really enjoy it, it seemed like the creators ran out of inspiration after a few quality episodes. / 'He claims he didn't do it, I don't know why. If I catch him doing it, I'll punch him in the mouth, until it reaches his stomach.' Maybe that's why he denies it." "Well, you're right." / "Call an ambulance, I'm going to sort it out with him." ()
