Rock the Casbah

It's summer in Tangiers. A family gathers for three days to mourn their father's death, exchanging memories and sharing their loss, as required by Muslim tradition. Bathing suits are swapped for floor-length djelabbas, the beach for a family home prepped to look as funereal as possible for the gathering of mourners. As if things weren't hectic enough for the deceased's only heirs—a group of strong, compelling women—the arrival after several years' absence of the youngest daughter Sofia (an actress with a successful career in the US playing terrorists in action movies) adds to the collective commotion. Being back home is her chance to settle scores with her sisters and upset the order established for years by their departed patriarch.
