They are young, there is three of them, they live in the Brazilian megalopolis of São Paulo, smoke one cigarette after another, and of course, they are lost in their current lives. In his remarkable debut the director, Francisco Garcia tells a generational confession of three young adults who exchanged youthful rebellion for the apathy of being trapped between the concrete walls of the metropolis. However, the director decorates the bitter hopelessness by his unmistakable irony and attention to details. In black and white images, which he composes carefully as photographs, he narrates the story of the city, generation and a pack of cigarettes. (Kino Brasil)
