Tartalmak(1)

After an ill-timed and very public marriage proposal, fiercely independent Sarah breaks up with her overeager boyfriend Kevin. Sarah turns to her sister Beth for support, but Beth is too busy obsessing over the details of her own wedding to Kevin's band mate, Andrew. When Sarah suddenly finds herself caught up in an intense rebound romance with the adorable Jonathan, she is forced to examine her own fears of commitment and vulnerability. With honesty, heart, and humor, all five struggle with the trials, happiness, and pain of modern love. In the end Sarah must decide - is it better to stay safely single or to risk it all on love? angol This movie didn't seem like a romantic comedy, which is definitely a good thing. Sarah doesn’t exactly fit the American model of an ecstatic bride, unlike her sister Beth. I love both Lizzy Caplan and Alison Brie, so the film already scored points with me thanks to its cast. Plus, the plot wasn’t dumb, and, thankfully, there weren’t any scenes full of pathos with applause and a parade of allegorical floats at the end. All in all, the film was original, interesting, entertaining, and weirdly enjoyable. ()

angol Lizzy Caplan is absolutely amazing and every film with her is something... well, something I look forward to at least. In this case, I can't help but criticize the movie a bit. Yes, it's a romance, yes, it's portrayed differently than what we're used to in Hollywood, but the whole thing is somehow... It could be condensed into about five minutes, not necessarily an hour and a half of a film: Lizzy acts excellently, it's not her typical indie character, but she has an interesting perspective on the world. The problems being dealt with here are quite normal, which allows you to identify with them. It's good, but something is missing to make it captivating. ()
