Tommaso, a római szívsebész magabiztos, sikeres ember. Büszke a fiára, aki szintén orvosnak készül. Andrea azonban váratlan bejelenti, hogy félbehagyja az egyetemet, mert a karizmatikus mentora, Don Pietro ösztönzésére pap akar lenni. Az ateista apa őrjöng, ez rosszabb, mintha azt mondta volna, hogy homoszexuális. Elhatározza, hogy utánajár, ki térítette el őt az orvosi pályától. A classical contemporary Italian comedy. Italians are loud, sometimes incredibly funny, sometimes boring and average. There is nothing clearer than this three-star review.

God Willing tells the story of an arrogant and stubbornly atheistic man whose eyes are opened by the most unlikely person he could have encountered in his self-assured life. Plot-wise, the film doesn't have much to surprise on the whole, but it is told with such a nice dose of humour and irony that I couldn't resist. The ending really surprised me and lifted the film out of its predictable dullness. A weaker four stars!
