Victim

The trailer already made clear that Victim would be one of those perverted indie films like Human Centipede or Deadgirl. And it’s exactly that. I can’t say I like this kind of films very much, but when they are well made, they have a bigger effect on me than most of the commercial genre bullshit of the last few years, something that I’m happy to appreciate with some slight overrating. PS: Dr. Heiter remains unsurpassed, but the little doctor here that looks like a paedophile Nazi priest does have something. (2011.03.24)

The film Victim managed to extract quite a bit from its theme, even though the acting performances certainly aren't what adorn it, at least not on all fronts. However, when the film focuses solely on the trio - the victim and her captors - it's good within its capabilities and conveys the right atmosphere, not one of fear, but one of hopelessness, where madness begins to take over everything.
