Stan and Ollie escape from jail and reach downtown, where an accomplice supplies them with street clothes. But in their haste they wind up wearing each other’s pants. Correcting the mistake proves tricky with police officers and passers by looking on. Chased to the top of an unfinished skyscraper they perform a gravity-defying dance on the steel girders of the construction site, animated by a large crab that has accidentally fallen into Stan’s pants (during their attempts to switch clothes).
