Make the Yuletide Gay follows a young gay couple Nathan and Gunn as they face their first Christmas apart. Sweet-natured Gunn (Keith Jordan) has to go right back in the closet to survive the holidays with his wacky Wisconsin parents, and cutie-pie Nathan (Adamo Ruggerio) is preparing to spend another Christmas with his cold-hearted parents. When Nathan surprises everyone by turning up on Gunn s doorstep, the couple is hilariously forced to juggle a hetero charade with their gay reality. (forgalmazó hivatalos szövege)

angol Definitely one of the warmest Christmas movies, maybe because thanks to the subject matter or the fact that there is perhaps no snow in any of the scenes, even though it’s set in December. At times, Make the Yuletide Gay struck me as a sitcom in feature-length format, given the acting style of some of the actors and the delivery of jokes, innuendo and double entendres, of which there was certainly no shortage ("You're just in time, I'm getting my beaver ready for Christmas time!"). Olaf's parents acted and looked very bizarre, almost like living caricatures, but they were mostly amusing, despite the mother's "slightly" annoying laughter at times. The argument between Nathan and Olaf did seem a bit far-fetched and was slowly slipping into soap opera waters, but the rest of the film moved along well and I was treated to one of the most original reactions to coming out within its genre. A nicely made flick, which on the one hand is sharply instructive, but on the other hand also entertains, which is the main thing in a comedy. ()
