Gegege no Kitarô: Sennen noroi uta

A half human, half yokai hero Kitaro and his buddies investigate a series of mysterious disappearance. They find out that it is somehow related with the "forbidden love" tragedy which occurred 1,000 years ago. Behind these incidents, there was conspiracy by the evil "yokai" and his followings trying to use the curse on the mermaid who fell in love with human. As Kitaro fights against these enemies, he goes through an internal conflict over his identity. Will Kitaro be able to shutter the vicious cycle and bring love and peace to the world? (Shochiku)
