We are in Oslo in 1960. During the official opening of the Norwegian Television a talent contest is announced where the winner gets NOK 50,000 - in addition to performing at the official opening. Egon dreams of wealth and fame - and life as a rock star. Life must be able to offer more than an orphanage, school and house arrest? The Dynamites are quickly established with Dynamite Harry on drums, Egon Kjell and Benny on guitars. Kjell debut as a songwriter and conjures up "Valborg, yeah, yeah, yeah!". After practicing it is an exciting talent competition where The Dynamites compete against Herman on the piano and The Steaks as an Elvis tribute band. But they get caught cheating and as a the last desperate attempt to sabotage The Dynamites, they attach explosives on the equipment - resulting in a tremendous pyro show from scene to end.
