Nicholas Winton 1939-ben, teljesen egyedül, minden hivatalos segítség és támogatás nélkül megszervezett és megmentett 669 kisgyermeket a II. világháború alatt. A kezdeti lépéseknél a legnehezebb volt a szülők meggyőzése arról, hogy engedjék el egyedül gyermeküket Nagy-Británniába, mert ez az egyetlen lehetőség, hogy életben maradhassanak. A zsidó gyermekeket végül sikerült biztonságosan, vonaton Prágából a hitleri Németországon keresztül Nagy-Britanniába szállíttatnia. Egy ember és az ő története ez a nem mindennapi fikciós dokumentumfilm. (DunaTV)

Nicky's Family is, of course, an excellent project. However, the PR is a bit lacking, and to base the whole thing on the portrait of Klára Issová, who played only in a few additional reshoots, doesn't make sense at all. The conclusion about a global bout of humanism is equally problematic. Unfortunately, less is more here as well. The story of Nicholas Winton can be told without pretensions and crutches. The theme of Nicolas Winton's inspiration is another story, and it doesn't really work together.

Nicholas Winton was a man of great heart and courage, and such people are few and far between. The documentary is really good, and it makes you wonder why Barack Obama received the Nobel Prize, and Winton didn’t. It’s beyond me. Hopefully, Nicholas Winton will live to see that day.
