Four beautiful but mysterious girls embark on a road trip for a relaxing weekend getaway in the woods. Unbeknownst to them, two clans of deranged male misfits follow them to their secluded and picturesque lakeside cabin in the mountains. Judging by the beginning, when the viewer is forced to follow an extravagant teenager in a gay pink shirt, I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish this film. Fortunately, Wicked Lake improves with every minute and there’s even a bloody massacre by the end, but it still suffers a lot from the awful performances. Basically, this film is quite untraditional exploitation that never lets you relate to the victims, because none of them last very long. In the end, quite a decent surprise and 50%.
