Tartalmak(1)

After an electricity from a torn cable revives him on the river bottom where his body lies, masked slasher Jason Voorhees stows away on a cruise ship carrying a graduating class of Crystal Lake teens to the Big Apple. Along the way, the ship braves a storm, which is nothing compared to the violence that the hockey mask-wearing psychopath inflicts on the passengers. Upon arriving in New York, Jason's murderous ways don't seem out of place, and the locals hardly pay him any mind. (forgalmazó hivatalos szövege)

angol Although logic waves goodbye to the film off right from the get-go, Jason's Adventure No.8 is quite entertaining, especially considering the previous installment. Jason once again proves to be a conscious killer of people with a sense of ideas and fun, which can be appreciated especially in the first half on the boat. As we hit the streets of NY City, the pace eases up and the rest is just a sleepy wait for the end, which offers nothing new under the darkened night moon. Hopefully, at least the thoughtful look at the hockey billboard will stay in my memory longer. ()

angol "Friday the 13th Part 8" is not fundamentally a good installment in the series, rather it falls into mediocrity, mainly because it is not as new as it initially appears. I see a problem also in the fact that the gore is truly very poor compared to the first and second parts, and it is more or less lacking here. In this regard, there is essentially no variability, and the film drowns in murders that sometimes reek of originality, but their execution simply reduces them to mere ticking off of names. ()
