FC VENUS is a modern comedy about women and men, and the differences between the two. It's a story of success and failure, the joy of winning and the fear of losing – and football. The main characters in the film are ANNA and PETE, a couple in their late twenties who live together in Helsinki. Their relationship is very happy and balanced. There's only one problem: Pete plays football on a team called FC HeMan, in the 7th division, the lowest possible league level. Their team sucks, but the players are passionately committed. The men play, watch, think and live football. Anna hates the whole sport, but keeps herself from interfering with Pete's hobby because she loves him.

Anna finds out to her shock that Pete has already ordered tickets with his teammates for the Football World Cup in Germany, for the summer weeks 2006. It seems that Pete is putting his teammates ahead of Anna. In a fit of anger, Anna ends up making a bet with Pete and other FC Heman men: If Anna manages to put together a team out of the wives and girlfriends of the FC HeMan players, the team will challenge the men to a match at the end of the summer. If the women win, the men will have to give up playing and watching football. If the men win, the women will never again give the men a hard time about their hobby. So is the women's team FC Venus formed. The film follows the women during one summer on their unlikely quest towards the one football match to end all the football matches (forgalmazó hivatalos szövege)
